Studio-Museum of Ivan Kavaleridze

Ivan Kavaleridze Museum-studio was founded in the historical building of the end of the nineteenth century on Andrew's Descent in which the rector of the St. Andrew's Church, a well-known historian Fedor Titov lived and worked from the 1910s. Subsequently, in 1911 Ivan Kavaleridze worked on the creation of a monument to Princess Olga, Apostle Andrew Pervozvanny, Cyril and Methodius for Kyiv.

The collection of the museum is based on the works and archival materials of Ivan Kavaleridze, which were given by the descendants of the artist to the newly created museum. About 3,000 exhibits are on display, including designs of monuments to Taras Shevchenko and Hrygori Skovoroda, numerous originals of figurines, unique pyjtographs and the sculptor’s archives. A gallery at the studio-museum displays the best efforts of the national and world art.
